Responsibilities
The Refrigeration Mechanic works under the supervision a Trades/Maintenance Coordinator and with other Facilities Technicians to maintain and recommend improvements the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration systems in the Facilities Healthcare Zone buildings. This includes the routine and preventative maintenance, repair, and upgrade of HVAC and refrigeration systems, BAS control systems, and the associated administrative duties such as ordering parts, setting priorities for service requests, training other employees, and attending meetings related to changes and impacts to the HVAC system.

Qualifications
- Journey-level refrigeration mechanic experience which shows skill installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration equipment and air conditioning systems; OR
- Completion of an approved refrigeration mechanic apprenticeship.

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH), located in the beautiful and historic Astoria, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to manage the daily operations of maintenance services for the physical structure of the hospital and hospital-owned buildings.

Responsibilities
Our Facilities Manager is responsible working alongside our Facilities staff performing maintenance services in addition to management responsibilities. This position is overseas all maintenance services, safety and emergency preparedness activities and as the organization’s Fire Marshal oversees our Fire and Life Safety Plan.

This is a CMH leadership position that is responsible for delivering customer service which anticipates and exceeds expectations to ensures team members in the Facilities Department are creating a memorable and positive patient experience.

Qualifications
This position requires demonstrated knowledge of NFPA codes, HFAP accreditation standards, construction/remodeling, and safety rules and regulations.

Supervisory or management experience is required along with experience working with a variety of facility systems including boilers, fuel steam, heating, air conditioning, and electrical as well as fire alarm and security systems.

Education & Experience
Knowledge and demonstrated expertise of NFPA codes, HFAP accreditation standards, construction/remodeling, and safety rules and regulations. On the job training.

Minimum Experience: Two years supervisory experience required. Experience in general maintenance work such as carpentry, painting, simple mechanical and electrical repairing preferred. HVAC and hospital plant experience preferred. Sufficient previous experience in construction and facilities management. Preferred Education: Bachelors’ Degree.

Certificates & Licenses
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager and/or Certified Healthcare Construction Manager preferred.
